Every Animal Tells a Story
Every animal tells a story, based on what it’s fed, how it’s raised, and ultimately how it is killed. We consider the life and the treatment of our animals as important as the taste and the quality, and do our best to source out farmers that are like-minded. At The Town Butcher, we’ve done our research to provide you with a full line of meats that are raised locally, naturally, and without the use of anti-biotics. This means that our beef, pork, chicken, lamb and turkey are all raised within 50 kilometres or closer to our shop, and are all cut on location.
Committed to Fresh, High Quality Ingredients
While the store-cooked items featured in our deli case are rotating and changing to incorporate new items, one thing that remains consistent is our commitment to fresh, high quality ingredients. Using seasonal products we create a variety of foods that work well to complement or complete a full meal, eg. BBQ-ready vegetables, mushroom caps and twice baked potatoes to grill with your steak dinner. Other times you may find Greek salad, baby roasted potatoes and tzatziki to pair with chicken souvlaki. All items are fresh and cooked on site.
Bill Turnbull
After finishing military training, Bill began working in a deli/bakery at a local grocery store, and worked his way up running the meat department, under the watchful eye of an expert butcher. He loves the art of meat-cutting, and his dream of building his own shop became a reality. Bill loves what he does, and it shows. He can often be seen through his butcher room window holding up meat to his customers to ensure the right cuts and sizes for their custom orders. At just the right moment you may catch him making a goofy face, or singing “opera” at the top of his lungs.
